Alex Barton

Alex is a chartered accountant specialising in corporate governance, financial planning and succession. She holds conjoint Law and Commerce degrees from Auckland University. Before moving to regional NZ she worked in UK, Australia and NZ in finance and investor relations, including several years heading investor relations at Air New Zealand.

Growing up in a farming family, Alex developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and rural life. Her first-hand knowledge of farming practices and viticulture allow her to connect with clients in the agricultural and wine sectors, providing tailored financial advice, succession and strategic planning.

Alex also specialises in governance for infrastructure businesses. She spent six years on the MDC Holding and Marlborough Airport Boards. She has been a director of Marlborough Lines since 2019.
