Brett Spencer

Brett has wide tax experience from over 17 years in practice in Big 4 firms in Wellington, as well as corporate tax positions in London. Prior to joining BDO, Brett was EMEA Regional Tax Director for AIG in London. He also has experience as an investigator in the Large Enterprises group of Inland Revenue.

Brett has advised a wide range of clients including those in natural resource utilisation, financial services, manufacturing and consulting. He has a particular experience in New Zealand’s petroleum mining regime as well advising on, and managing, expatriate programmes. Brett also has significant experience of tax balance review as part of the external audit function.
