Janine Hellyer has over 25 years of experience as a chartered accountant based locally in Tauranga. She is a partner at BDO Tauranga and is also on the National BDO New Zealand Board. For over 10 years she has been a Trustee of the Tauranga RDA Foundation and has had other charitable roles in the past. She is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Ltd and the Institute of Directors.

Janine’s work portfolio includes asset protection, succession planning and reviewing legal documents from an income tax perspective. She has a large range of clients largely based in the Bay of Plenty. 

Education is a passion for Janine. She is involved in the ownership of a private training organisation with her husband that provides vocational training tailored to the specific needs of organisations. She is also involved in various community charitable causes both locally and throughout New Zealand. Janine and her husband Mark are actively involved with the Kiwi Kids Charity (formally via Variety the Childrens charity) where they mentor, raise funds, and provide time to disadvantaged kids throughout New Zealand.
